The ‘Botanics’ are one of Edinburgh’s treasures.
They have been carefully nurtured and tended
as a free gift for locals and visitors alike.
Over the years, I have spent many happy and peaceful hours here
either alone, or with family and friends.
It’s a great place to savour our connection
to each other,
to the natural world
and to the passing of time.
It is our connection that gives our lives meaning and purpose
